Abstract
ABSTRACT
The study of predatory arthropods on ecosystem of Virgina Tobacco Plant in Central Lombok with objectives to observe the diversity and abundance of predatory arthropods on the ecosystem of Virgina tobacco plant . The survey method had used in this srtudy and trapping had conducted for sample collection. The result of this study showed that predatory arthropods were dominated by insects with the total of 7 families and Arachnida with 4 families. Both two families had the total population about 457. The data indicated that the most abundant predators were Formicidae that was 29.32%, with the total population was about 134 . In addition, the arthropod predators in this ecosystem of Virginia tobacco were low level of diversity with diversity value was 0.53. In order to improve the potential of biological agents, it is necessary to conserve the potensial biological agents such as the families from Coleopteran and Araneae order.
