Abstract
ABSTRAK
Percobaan lapangan dilaksanakan di Karang Bayan Lingsar Lombok Barat. Analisis kandungan antosianin beras dilakukan di laboratorium Pengujian Mutu dan Keamanan Pangan Fakultas Teknologi Pertanian Universitas Brawijaya Malang. Penanaman dilakukan dengan jarak tanam 25 x 25 cm tanpa rancangan. Populasi P1, P2 ditanam sebanyak 50 tanaman, F1, F1BC.1.1, F1BC.1.2 sebanyak 25 tanaman dan F2 sebanyak 250 tanaman. Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk untuk mengetahui bagaimana aksi gen dan heritabilitas dari kandungan antosianin beras merah yang digunakan sebagai dasar penentuan metode seleks dalam upaya peningkatan kandungan antosianin beras pada padi beras merah toleran kekeringan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa 1). Pada populasi F1 hasil persilangan galur harapan padi beras merah P3-S11-8 x Kala Isi Tolo dan hasil persilangan galur harapan padi beras merah P19-S28-14 x Kala Isi Tolo aksi gen kandungan antosianin beras bersifat dominan tidak sempurna. 2). Kandungan antosiann beras merah di kendalikan oleh gen tunggal (simpelgenik) dengan tindak gen dominan lengkap pada kandungan antosianin tinggi. 3). Persilangan galur harapan padi beras merah P3-S11-8 x Kala Isi Tolo dan persilangan galur harapan padi beras merah P19-S28-14 x Kala Isi Tolo memiliki heritabilitas tinggi terhadap kandungan antosianin beras.
Abstract
A field experiment was conducted in Karang Bayan Lingsar, West Lombok from July until October 2009. Plants were grown with spacing of 25 x 25 cm. Analysis of antocianin content conducted in testing laboratory of food quality and food safety Agriculture Technology Faculty Brawijaya University. P1 and P2 were planted in 50 plants each; F1, F1BC1.1.; F1BC1.2 were planted in 25 plants each, and F2 were planted in 250 plants. The objectives of the study were to estimate number, gene mode action and heritability of antocyanin content to be used for selection method determination. Resulted indicated that: 1. Gene action of F1 population resulted from crossing between expected line of red rice P3-S11-8 x Kala Isi Tolo and P19-S28-14 X Kala Isi Tolo were incomplete dominance. 2. Antocianin content of red rice was controlled by singlet gene and gene action of complete dominance on high antocianin content. 3. Antioxidant content of F1 population resulted from crossing between expected line of red rice P3-S11-8 x Kala Isi Tolo was high heritable.
