PENGARUH PEMBERIAN LARUTAN TAUGE DAN LARUTAN BAWANG MERAH TERHADAP PERKECAMBAHAN BENIH PADI

This study aims to determine the effect of the interaction between bean sprouts solution and shallot solution concentration, as well as to determine the best combination concentration of bean sprouts (Phaseolus radiatus) and shallot (Allium cepa L.) solution on the germination of local rice seeds of South Kalimantan, Datu variety, which have passed their shelf life. The implementation of this research began in July 2020-September 2020 at the Integrated Laboratory of Agroecotechnology, Faculty of Agriculture, Lambung Mangkurat University.
The method used in this study was a factorial completely randomized design (CRD). The first factor was the bean sprouts solution 0% (t0), 3% (t1), 6% (t2), and 9% (t3). The second factor is a shallot solution of 0% (b0), 3% (b1), 6% (b2), and 9% (b3). The two factors were combined in order to obtain 16 treatments which were then repeated three times with each repetition of four sub-replications in order to obtain 192 experimental units.
The results showed that the addition of a solution of bean sprouts and shallots, as well as the combination of the two, was able to increase the germination capacity of local Datu rice seeds that had passed their shelf life. The concentration of 6% bean sprouts and 6% onion (t2b2) solution is the best concentration in increasing the maximum growth potential, germination capacity, growth speed, and synchronous growth of rice seeds that have passed the shelf life with the respective mean of 91.00%, 90.50% , 10.83%, and 54.00%.
